Fundraiser started for Fort Ransom, ND man diagnosed with ALS

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR/Newsdakota) North Dakota Association for the Disabled is hosting a fundraiser for a Fort Ransom, North Dakota family dealing with ALS, or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
Gary Myer, a civil engineering technician with North Dakota Department of Transportation, was diagnosed earlier this summer after months of unexplained symptoms.
His wife, Abbi, teaches music at Litchville-Marion school and the couple has two kids ages 10 and 12.
The family is in great need of a handicap-accessible van to help them stay mobile and able to meet Gary’s ongoing and future medical needs.
Every dollar donated will go to the family.
Funds can be donated online here or mailed to NDAD, 2606 S. Columbia Road, Grand Forks, ND 58201.
Donations are tax-deductible.
For more information about the fundraiser, contact Tammy Jo A. Taft at tammyjoanderson.taft@gmail.com or the NDAD at (701)775-5577.
