88-Year-Old Man Dead After McLean County Crash

The North Dakota Highway Patrol is determining whether or not to press charges against the driver of the other vehicle.

McLEAN COUNTY, N.D. (KVRR) – A T-bone crash at the intersection of Highway 83 & Highway 37 in McLean County has claimed the life of one man while injuring another individual.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says that just before 5 P.M. on November 28, a Toyota Camry was traveling eastbound on Highway 37. When it entered the intersection of 37 and 83, a Hyundai Santa Cruz traveling southbound struck it on the driver’s side.

The driver of that Camry was an 88-year-old man from Bottineau. He was not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Santa Cruz was a 32-year-old woman from Tioga.  She was wearing a seatbelt, sustained injuries, and was taken to CHI St. Alexius in Garrison for treatment. NDHP has not yet decided whether or not she will face criminal charges.
