3rd Annual “A Taste of the World” Fundraiser
Support LSSND’s Humanitarian Service Program by attending “A Taste of the World,” an annual celebration of ethnic foods, global art and multi-cultural entertainment.
The evening will feature the best of hand-prepared culinary items from restaurants such as: BernBaum’s, Gorkha Palace, Everest Tikka House, Ishtar Mediterranean Cuisine, Mandarin Kitchen Express, Rugsan Cuisine and A&M Bakery, Moorhead.
Dola Sitare will share her experience of adding to her large family by becoming a foster parent to a family of six Unaccompanied Refugee Minors, and critically acclaimed multimedia artist Ifrah Mansour will perform one of her original pieces.
A silent auction featuring our most prestigious line-up of global art to date will take place during the event. Works from McKnight Fellowship winner/ceramic artist Guillermo “Memo” Guarida, Grand Forks artist Adam Kemp, photographer Sean Coffman and a variety of beautiful, hand-crafted molas will be available for bidding.
All proceeds will benefit LSSND programs in support of New Americans, disaster services and the help, support and advocacy for victims of human trafficking.
General admission is $50; reservations are encouraged. This event is intended for individuals 21 or older.
“A Taste of the World” is presented by the Harold and Dorothy Madson Foundation, and is supported by Bremer Bank, Cardinal IG and the Wigtil Family.
