Man Charged with Murder in 2013 Fatal Fire

A man has now been charged with first degree murder after a fatal fire in Hubbard County in May of last year.

A man has now been charged with first degree murder after a fatal fire in Hubbard County in May of last year.
Fredrick Bachman had been charged with 2nd Degree murder, but those charges were later dropped because authorities say they needed further investigation.
A Grand Jury has now also indicted him on 2nd Degree murder with intent, manslaughter and arson.

On May 31st, 2013, a home on Lake Hattie was fully engulfed with the homeowner, 57-year-old James Schwartzbauer, still inside.

An autopsy ruled his death a homicide.
