Anyone 12 years and younger were able to attend the Elephant and Piggie Party at the Fargo Public Library.

They took part in some Mo Willems-inspired Elephant & Piggie crafts and activities.

The kids even wrote letters to the author.

Librarians also shared their favorite Elephant & Piggie stories.

Amber Emery, with the Fargo Public Library, says, “Using a book character like Elephant and Piggie, you’re also tapping into learning to read, being excited about reading being excited about characters and then that builds lifelong readers.”

Teens can take in the screening of the movie “Divergent” at the Dr. James Carlson Library Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m. with free popcorn.
