Fargo Man Headed to Hollywood

Zach Johnson advances to the next round FOX's American Idol.

A Fargo man is going to Hollywood.

Twenty-one-year-old Zach Johnson appeared on Wednesday night’s episode of American Idol.

After getting a little criticism for his country-singing voice, he got a second opportunity to sing again.

That’s when all three celebrity judges waved him through will the golden ticket.

Johnson also talked to Keith Urban about his upcoming concert in Sioux Falls.

Urban said he’d bring Johnson up on stage and sure enough, he made good on the promise.

The two sang “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks.

Johnson attended NDSU and took second place in The Forum’s annual singing competition, Fargo Star.

You can catch American Idol here on FOX on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
