Red River Valley Boat Show

We got a tease of springtime with our weather today. Perfect to get people to start thinking about getting out on the lakes. The 23rd annual Red River Valley Boat and Marine show is being held at the Fargodome showing off the best boats, pontoons, and docks in the area.

Jim Hanson is a man on a mission and knows exactly what he wants for his lake house in Erhard, Minnesota.

“I’m in the market for a dock. We have a 23 year old dock and it’s had its use.” Hanson said.

He’s looking to upgrade as he and his family get ready for warmer weather in the valley.

He says, “This time of year we get kind of anxious. We live on a lake and it seems like after a couple months of winter you want things to turn.”

The Red River Valley Boat and Marine Products show brings out sellers from throughout the region.

Boat Show Manager Barry Cenaiko says, “So whether you’re looking at fishing boats, pontoons, deck boats, or dedicated wake boards and ski boats, we’ve got all of those down here at the dome.”

And if you look hard enough you can catch yourself finding a boat that’s fit for a champion.

Cenaiko says, “So when you come down to the show, you get to see everything under one roof. It’s just a great shopping environment.”

The goal is to be ready for those lakes to thaw out for some springtime fun.

Hanson says, “We got a lot of grand kids that are already looking forward to coming out and a lot of my people around the lake we have a lot of good times at the lake so we look forward to it.”

The boat runs through the weekend. Tickets are seven dollars and fifty cents.
