Downtown Fargo Prepares For The Superbowl

Many in the valley are gearing up for Superbowl Sunday.
Several businesses in downtown Fargo are showing the game and have game day specials.

Jonathan Franklin came to Spicy Pie in downtown to have lunch with his family.
He’s in 7th grade and plays football for Horizon Middle School.

He’s going to be one of many in the country watching the Superbowl.

“I will be just home with my family watching the game, and maybe a few friends,” said Jonathan of Moorhead.

Since him and his family will be at home, they won’t be able to take advantage of many downtown deals.

“We have an 18-inch one-topping pizza, a six–pack of soda and an order of wings for $25 and that is for delivery and carry–out only,” said Spicy Pie Co-Owner Carolyn Molland.

Spicy Pie will be showing the game and they’re expecting a good turnout.

“We will have hopefully a great atmosphere with the football game playing, a lot of people in here cheering for their favorite team and enjoying our specials,” said Molland.

Spicy Pie is one of several locations gearing up for the Superbowl.

The OB Sports Zone will have 27 TV’s playing the game.
They’re also having trivia and giving away Minnesota Wild tickets.

“About two pitchers of beer for $12 that’s an awesome deal, we’re also doing $1.49 small 10–inch pizzas,” said Old Broadway Manager Lucas Gosser.

Mike Hahn is a Vikings fan but like many other years, he won’t be able to cheer them on in the Superbowl.

“My plan tomorrow is basically to stick around at home. You know it’s the Seahawks and the Patriots, so we really don’t have any loyalty with any of the two teams,” said Hahn of Fargo.

No matter which team you’re rooting for, if you’re looking for deals, downtown Fargo has what you’re looking for.

Additional deals at Spicy Pie include:
$12 18” JUMBO Pepperoni & Cheese Pizzas

$20 Specialty Pies for take-out or delivery

$2.50 domestic/$3 import bottles of beer
