Trial Begins In Fatal Motorcycle Crash
A 20-year-old woman appears in court for the first time after allegedly crashing into two motorcycles near Barnesville and killing one of the riders.
Sarah Jo Braith heard the charges against her including Criminal Vehicular Homicide and Criminal Vehicular Operation.
The vehicles collided at the I–94 and Highway 9 interchange near Barnesville in August.
Michael Pangelinan of Moorhead was hurt, his wife Angela later died of her injuries.
Braith has a chance to challenge the charges at the next hearing.
“Well I presume that Sarah is innocent I just got the discovery there’s a tremendous amount and we really don’t know what direction this case is going to go,” said Braith’s attorney Bruce Ringstrom Jr.
An omnibus hearing is set for April 6th.
