Mahnomen Man Sentenced for Stabbing

A Mahnomen man has been sentenced to seven years in prison for stabbing another man outside a downtown Fargo hotel in November.

Samuel Ortley, Jr. pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

Police say Ortley, his father and several other men got into an argument and then a fight in the Scandia Inn parking lot.

One victim was stabbed several times and another man was hit over the head.
