Minot Air Force Base Inspection

 The Deputy Defense Secretary is getting a first–hand look at fixes at Minot Air Force Base.

Robert Work said he came to Minot to see whether the upbeat assessments of progress he is hearing in Washington are in line with what members of the force are seeing in their day–to–day duties.

Minot hosts both B–52 nuclear bombers and nuclear–armed intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Nearly two years ago, a deputy commander revealed trouble in the ranks including disregard by some for safety and security rules.
