Meth Bust May Be Biggest In ND History

Minor Traffic Stop Leads To Major Drug Bust

A Berthold traffic stop leads to what could be the biggest methamphetamine bust in North Dakota’s history.

Police stopped a car on Highway 2 on Wednesday for having no license plates and crossing over the center lines.

After searching the car and its passengers, police found more than $20,000 cash and a pound of meth.

Three individuals were arrested: Tina Ganley of Williston, Oscar Delgado of Phoenix and Rocky Mayfield of Goodyear, Arizona.

Ward County Drug Task Force interviews led to a search warrant of two Williston and Minot hotel rooms.

Over the course of two days, police seized 11 pounds of meth, an amount that has a street value of half a million dollars.

Mayfield and Delgado could face life in prison. The DEA has taken over the case.
