Kirsten Baesler Pleads Not Guilty
The lawyer for North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction Kirsten Baesler enters a not guilty plea on her behalf.
Baesler is back at work and did not appear in court on a charge of simple assault.
She allegedly struck fiance Todd Tschosik on Sunday “with an object, causing injury to his face.”
Baesler maintains she was concerned about her safety.
He was arrested last summer after an assault on her in Florida, but the charges were later dropped.
Baesler has been ordered to have no contact with Tschosik.
A trial is set for March 23.
