Parking Changes For Downtown Fargo

Fargo leaders are brainstorming new ideas for downtown parking.

The Parking Commission is looking at ways to make parking downtown easier.

A couple of the ideas that were brought up include pay for parking by phone, and showing access on lots so you don’t have to search for available spots.

Changes are expected in the spring.

Fargo City Commissioner Mike Williams said, “We already implemented some four hour zones where there used to be 90 minute zones like east of Broadway and this spring we’ll be going west of Broadway so on Broadway there will still be 90 minutes but you’ll see more 4 hour zones you’ll see more diagonal parking opportunities..”

The parking commission is also looking at improving the transit operation.
