Rundquist Death Ruled a Suicide

A Minnesota State Patrol investigation has ruled an MSUM professor and Fergus Falls City Council member’s death was a suicide.

They say 52-year-old Timothy Rundquist intentionally drove his car head-on into an Ashby police car near Elbow Lake on December 22.

He was fleeing authorities attempting to pull him over for speeding.

According to the investigation, Rundquist was about to lose one of his part-time jobs as an Assistant Stevens County Attorney, and was depressed.

An autopsy found no drugs or alcohol in his system.
