A major health insurance switch for North Dakota public employees.

The executive board of the Public Employees Retirement System has approved an agreement with Sanford Health Plan.

It will cover 29,000 employees, their families and retirees beginning July 1.

Blue Cross-Blue Shield of North Dakota had provided coverage for the past 37 years.
