West Fargo Teen Granted Guardianship

It is a very special 19th birthday for Mackenzie Jackson of West Fargo.

She has been granted guardianship of her younger brother and sister.

Jackson graduated from West Fargo High School last year and has been fighting for custody after both of her parents died.

Spencer, 14, and Meagan, 16, were put in foster care a few months before their father’s death in early January.

Their mother died of heart problems two years ago.

Jackson doesn’t have full legal custody, yet.

That will be determined in August.

Jackson says all she and her siblings want is to be together as a family.
