Cemetery Bill Fails On Second Veto

Senate Reverses Course On Bill

Not so fast on that F-M Diversion cemetery bill in the North Dakota Senate. Senators reverse course on the bill they just passed Tuesday and now reject it.

The proposal focused on cemeteries that are located in a staging area for the diversion that would hold back water in times of serious flooding.

Diversion supporters labeled it as a roadblock to Fargo flood protection. Senators rejected it on a vote of 28 to 19.
