Rick Springfield And Others Headed To Fargo
The F-M community is becoming a more desirable stop for entertainers. Several comedic and musical artists are scheduled to perform in Fargo. Grammy-award winning Rick Springfield will be making his way back to Fargo after last performing here in 2010. But there are several more exciting shows slated for this spring.
Springfield will be performing at the Fargo Theatre on May 7th. Tickets go on sale March 13th and pre-sale on March 12th on jadepresents.com. But Rick Springfield isn’t the only big name headed our way.
“Bill Maher was announced, he’ll be coming to the Fargo Civic. Chad Daniels, a Fergus Falls native who’s made very well nationally. He has his own comedy central specials,” says Aaron Duma, Co-Director of Events at Jade Presents.
Jade Presents schedules these events.
“They can contact Jade and say hey we’ve got several dates we’re trying to look for in your region, your market,” Duma explains.
Gwen Lavigne recently moved to Fargo from Chicago. She has been pleasantly surprised by the caliber of entertainers.
“I had no idea that it would be this good. I mean, some of these shows I don’t even see back home,” Lavigne says.
And Max McWilliams has only lived in the area for eight months but he’s noticed that larger artists are booking Fargo.
“It’s nice to know that they care about this town and seeing that it’s actually gaining momentum and becoming a pretty hip scene to come to,” McWilliams says.
This Friday, Ladysmith Black Mambazo who are known for their collaboration with Paul Simon are playing at the Fargo Theatre. On that same day, tickets to see BOSTON go on sale.
