8th Annual Arctic Tournament
Wild Rice Horseshoe League hosts Horseshoe tournament
Horseshoe players bear the cold for a unique outdoor tournament.
The Annual Arctic Horseshoe League was held today at Wild Rice Bar and Grill.
The tournament has 32 contestants, double style, and the horseshoes were provided.
Six raffle rounds also took place during the event.
The president of the league says the Arctic Horseshoe tournament helps break up the monotony of winter.
“Weather isn’t always a factor. We’ve been very lucky the last eight years. It’s always been a pretty nice day. It’s a lot of fun, you get to meet some people and have a good time. It introduces you to the sport, gets you out of the house in the winter months and breaks the cabin fever,” says Bob Buresh the WRHL ( Wild Rice Horseshoe League) president.
A hundred percent of the entry fee was paid out to the top four teams.
The winner gets 140 dollars.
