$5,000 Reward For Information About Puppy
The Humane Society of is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to whoever left a puppy to die in a burning trash bin in northern Minnesota.
The five-month-old husky mix was rescued Feb. 20 from a garbage dump bin on the Red Lake Indian Reservation. A man says he found the puppy in the bin while dropping off trash.
The dog, now called Phoenix is being cared for by a Twin Cities veterinarian. The puppy was also malnourished and faces two to four months of treatment for his burns.
Police on the reservation have not determined who put the puppy in the trash bin and left him there to burn.
