Fargo Leaders Conducting Civic Center Interviews

Fargo city leaders are getting closer to choosing a consulting firm to help re–purpose the Fargo Civic Center.
Five firms are being interviewed this week.

City leaders want the civic center to be a multi–use facility, to be used for concerts, lectures and other events.

Some of the consultants have done work in Minneapolis, Brooklyn and other major cities.
“I don’t want us to be in a rush, we want to make sure that we’re doing it well. The time frame isn’t the important thing, it’s that we do it well,” said Fargo City Commissioner Dave Piepkorn.
City leaders hope to reach a decision on a firm in the next few weeks.
They will open bids on March 16 for construction of the new City Hall.
