Internal Investigation After Facebook Comment
A Facebook posting attributed to a Fargo police officer has led to an internal investigation.
A citizen filed a complaint with the department about Officer Zach Messmer’s on-line comment that the man should “do us all a favor and hang urself.”
Chief Todd says the officer’s posting was made during an on-line discussion about a police-involved shooting in Grand Forks.
He says the comment was inappropriate and the investigation will determine what kind of discipline is appropriate.
