The 50th Red River Valley Sportsmen’s Show is bringing hunting, fishing and camping enthusiasts to Fargo. You’ll also find some fascinating and unusual exhibits at the show at the Fargodome.
It’s not every day you get to see wildlife before your very eyes especially wolves.
Terri Petter says, “We have 4 adult males and of course one little puppy that’s 5–weeks old. And then we do have a raccoon.”
The wolves are born and raised in captivity then Fur–Ever Wild, a nonprofit educational group, uses them for seminars about Midwest wildlife.
The Fur-Ever Wild Director adds, “We just talk about in general wolves and their different types of fur and their footprints and genetics, why they have to eat meat.”
Fur–Ever Wild is just one of the over 200 Red River Valley Sportsman’s Show exhibits.
Cenaiko Production Barry Cenaiko says, “If people have never been to the Sportsmen’s Show out at the Fargodome what they really get is everything that’s great about the outdoors inside the building.”
With exhibits ranging from boating, camping, fishing and hunting, more than 20,000 people are expected to come through the doors this weekend.
Media Liaison Bryan Shinn says, “Why wouldn’t you come out? We’re getting close to spring! It’s summer outdoors. All the fun activities. The weather looks great this weekend. There’s no reason to not come out and start thinking about summertime.”
Petter says, “It’s the 50th anniversary and it’s going to be a great show!”
The Sportsmen’s Show wraps up Sunday afternoon. It’ll cost $7.50 for adults and $2.50 for kids to get in.
