WF School Rennovation to Cost More

Renovations at West Fargo High School may cost more than expected.

The original quote to add six new classrooms and rearrange space for more students was $340,000, but that could jump as high as $410,000.

The rising cost of construction and supplies is behind the increase.

District officials say much of the construction workforce is busy with the Sanford Hospital project.

Superindent David Flowers said, “Many of the dry wall contractors are engaged in that project so any project that involves dry wall you’re probably going to be paying a premium for that. So yeah, the cost of construction is increasing.”

Bids will open on April 7th and the school board will review the proposals later in the month.
