North Dakota Men’s Books In New TV Series

Two North Dakota men are going to be featured in the upcoming ABC TV drama Boom…sort of. Troy Larson and business partner Terry Hinnenkamp published a series of books about ghost towns across the state and the TV show wants to use them as props.

A production designer for the series purchased one their books and decided to use four prints of them on the TV sets.

Larson and Hinnenkamp won’t get on-screen credits for the books but they will get paid.

The pilot Boom, about the North Dakota oil patch, stars Don Johnson of Miami Vice fame.
