Man Stabbed in Dilworth Fight

A man stabbed during a fight in Dilworth will undergo surgery for a knife wound to his back.

Police Chief Ty Sharpe says both men involved were friends and had been drinking when they showed up at another friend’s home in the Dilworth trailer court late Monday afternoon.

Others broke up the fight several times, and then called police when the stabbing occurred.

Sharpe says neither man wanted to press charges.

The Clay County Attorney will determine any charges.
