Homicidal Violence in Viking
Sorry, this video is no longer available
After finding a dead body Tuesday night, law enforcement are looking for the killer of a northern Minnesota man.
The initial autopsy on 64–year–old Ronald Foss of Viking shows he died of homicidal violence.
Marshall County Sheriff Jason Boman says this is no accident and that the scene of the crime shows foul play.
But should the community be worried?
Late Tuesday night in this rural home in Viking, co–workers went to check on Ronald Foss after he didn’t show up to work at Digi–Key.
They found him dead and called 9–1–1.
“Inside the house there were a couple chairs that were tipped over. Um there was some blood, we just thought it was suspicious. We’ve gone to calls with people passed away before but, there were just a few things that was,” said Sheriff Boman.
In nearby Warren, people didn’t expect to hear the news.
Bradley Adamski who lives in the town said, “I’m shocked, we usually don’t have anything like that go on around here so and it’s such a small community over there that it’s really weird to see something like that happen.”
Foss’s 1998 blue Chevy pickup with a topper is still missing, and his killer is still on the loose. But should the community be concerned.
“I don’t think this was somebody running around just looking to do something like this, I don’t think it’s a real threat to the community,” said Sheriff Boman.
The sheriff has not released exactly how Foss died. More information will be released some time tomorrow morning after the final autopsy report in Grand Forks.
