Deck Fire In South Fargo
The Fargo Fire Department responds to a deck fire in south Fargo.
The fire happened around 9:30 Thursday morning at an apartment building in the 3,300 block of 16th avenue south.
The people in the apartment did manage to put the fire out with water and wet towels before the fire department arrived.
That prevented the deck fire from spreading.
No one was hurt.
“For us it is deck fire season. Be careful when you’re on your decks using grills, out smoking. Keep grills and everything away from combustibles as far as possible,” said Fargo Fire Department Chief Bruce Anderson.
Damage to the deck is estimated at $1,000.
