Cinema of the 1950s

Community members could sit back, relax, and enjoy a free show.

The audience gathers at the library to watch and discuss the fifties film “East of Eden.”

This screening is part of the library’s four–part film series showing iconic movies from the 1950s.

Film enthusiasts say it’s a good way to discuss films while enjoying them in a group setting.

“It’s kind of that community group experience that really made movies exciting when they first started and so people can kind of have that conversation rather than sitting alone in the basement,” says Prarie Public Film Reviewer Matt Olien.

The series will run each Sunday throughout April besides Easter weekend.
