Family Grateful For Support After Body Found
The family of missing Moorhead snowmobiler Cole Schwindt tells us they are thankful for the all of the communities support in the months since he went missing.
It is believed his body was pulled from the Sheyenne River Tuesday after a four month search.
An autopsy is being done in Grand Forks.
A man working on a new home nearby spotted the body and called 9–1–1.
The West Fargo Police Department and Valley Dive Rescue personnel were planning on conducting a bigger search for the body once all of the ice melted.
“Locating Mr. Schwindt was critical for the family of course. They wanted their husband, father, son back. So it was very important for them,” said West Fargo Police Department Chief Michael Reitan.
The family tells us they are taking time right now to grieve.
