Moorhead Police Welcomes 3 Officers & Honors Another

 Moorhead celebrates its news members of the Police Department.

Over a thousand applicants applied for the three openings within the Moorhead Police Department.

Andrew Frovarp, Zach Johnson and Broc Bartylla were the lucky chosen ones to join the department.

Officer Nicholas Schultz was also awarded the department’s Life Saving Award for helping to save a Moorhead woman’s life on New Year’s Day.

Life Saving Award Nicholas Schultz says, “It’s a great honor. Nice to be recognized for things. It’s nice to show the community that police are the good guys once in a while. A lot of times we get paint in a negative light and we’re out there just trying to help.”

Moorhead’s Mayor Del Rae Williams administered the ceremony’s Oath of Office.
