Many in the area celebrated Easter Sunday with a family meal.
Hundreds came to The Holy Cross Catholic Church’s dinner as part of their festivities.
Doug Pritchard is celebrating Easter at the Holy Cross Catholic Church with his family.
They traveled a few hours for the trip.
“Family’s down here from Minneapolis too so we come down and visit them and hang out, you know get together and say goodbye’s and they head back home. The dinner’s really awesome,” said Pritchard of Fargo.
Many other families like the Eckroth’s also decided to come to the church for some dinner.
“I just like spending time together, I mean especially now I’m working overnights for a few weeks. It’s nice that we can do something together,” said Adam Eckroth of Fargo.
This is the 6th year the church has had the dinner and they typically plan for around 400 people.
“They’re happy to have the annual ham dinner that we serve and it’s a nice place to go, especially when the weather is nice,” said the church business manager Penne Soucy.
The meal was a time for family’s to get together and spend some quality time and one of the family’s favorite parts was that the meals were already prepared.
Unfortunately Larry Fischer works in the afternoon, but will take all the family time he can get.
“It’s a time of rejoicing and getting together and usually with more family, but we’ll do it this way this year,” said Fischer of West Fargo.
It’s a time for families to sit down and enjoy each other’s company.
Next year the Holy Cross Catholic Church will be switching locations along with its annual dinner.
