Remembering Alex Davis

An autopsy on 22–year–old Alex Davis is finished, but his cause of death has not been released.
The UND student was found by his friend and a roommate on Saturday morning in his home near the campus and pronounced dead on the way to Altru Hosptial.
The department is empty and the easels are bare…this is the place the late 22 year old Alex Davis grew in his visual arts major at UND. Those who helped the West St. Paul native in his studies are in disbelief.
Wesley Rabey said, “I see these students, and you know they give me hope. You know i have a very similar background in art and design and you know it is sad.”
Not only is the art department saddened but the community has also been grieving.
A Facebook page flooding with pictures, videos and messages for Alex….
UND Spokesman Peter Johnson said, “Thoughts and prayers go out to the family and to the friends. You kind of just deal with those things the best you can but it’s always sad to lose someone in the community.”
Wesley says the loss of Alex in the art classrooms will always be surreal.
“Just thinking that there’s a connection you know, so yeah you know it’s a, you can sense a loss,” said Rabey.
For now the community continues to mourn for the loss of a friend and an artistic soul.
Alex’s cause of death is expected to be released sometime this week.
