“Technology Of Tomorrow” At Microsoft
Microsoft is teaming up with local students to teach them about technology of the future. Nearly 200 students from six elementary and middle schools spent the day at the Microsoft Executive Briefing Center.
They took part in modern and futuristic demonstrations including 3D printing, drone flights, and testing for the farming industry. The day is designed to introduce students to careers in the high-tech fields and perhaps find the next Microsoft employee.
“The kids just think this is all matter of fact. This is not really a big deal to them. They just go with the flow and they believe it and they’re willing to be a part of this and this is gearing our kids to get a different career and it’s something different that what we’ve never done,” says Mary Haugo of Marketplace for Kids.
Marketplace for Kids is held in 12 locations and serves more than 10,000 students per year.
