Sunday Dinner Pledge

Home Instead senior care is asking people to commit to bringing back an old Sunday tradition.

They are asking family members to take the Sunday pledge and commit to scheduling regular meals with senior loved ones.

The Sunday Dinner Pledge is way of promoting the elderly to eat more often.

Many suffer from lack of nutrition, and some of it is due to isolation.

Home Instead is stressing that it’s not what’s on the plate that matters at meal time, but who it sitting at the table with them.

“It’s sometimes easy to forget about that elderly person who’s been independent all their lives and yea go back to the old Sunday evening dinner,” said Arlette Preston Owner of Homestead Senior Care.

Homestead Senior Care is donating a dollar to Meals on Wheels for every pledge.
