VFW Holds Post-Memorial Day Gathering

The VFW extended their hours to honor our fallen heroes.

After the ceremonies were over, many veterans and workers shared memories.

Veterans told us after all the hard work that goes into making memorial day special, it feels nice to gather and reflect on the day and those who were lost in the fight for freedom.

“For me it’s like I’m like Santa clause of Memorial Day this is a very very busy day and were just finally winding down,” says Terry Richardson.
 
“It’s just a little camaraderie have a little drink after the work is done. I like to go to the junk box and play the patriotic music,” says Mark Wagemann.
 
The AMVETS club served a free hotdog lunch as well as coffee and cupcakes.
