Two Funerals After Recent Tragedies
The Fargo, Grand Forks and Bemidji communities are remembering the lives of two residents that have tragically passed away.
Seventy-year-old Gregory Weiland of Grand Forks was one of the victims in the Walmart shooting on Tuesday.
He grew up in Minnesota and moved to Grand Forks. He had worked at Walmart for 23 years.
His funeral service was held Saturday at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Grand Forks.
Thirty-five-year-old Joey Allen Gaarsland of Fargo died last Friday.
The father of five was the victim of a brutal assault between Rick’s and Speck’s bars while out on a date with his wife.
His funeral was also today in his hometown of Bemidji.
Our deepest condolences go out to both of their families.
