Authorities Respond to Fire Caused by Propane Tank Explosion

UPDATE 6:44 P.M.

Dozens of people evacuate the New Horizon Manor in Fargo as firefighters battle a 1,000 gallon propane tank fire.

Firefighters responded to the blazing fire just before 4 P.M.

Residents of the 10 story high rise were evacuated immediately.

Parts of the nearby streets were temporarily closed.

The fire was extinguished 10 minutes after the first engine arrived on scene.

“Just hoping nobody gets hurt and nothing burns down, because that’s huge. That’s a lot of flame coming out of that,” said Jill Muhle of Minot.

No damage was done to the building and residents have been allowed back.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
