Four People Die From Carbon Monoxide Poisoning In Rural Blanchard
Names Released
Investigators say a propane-fueled tankless water heater was the cause of carbon monoxide poisoning that killed four people in rural Blanchard, ND.
The Traill County Sheriff’s Office were called to 15746 5th St. SE in rural Blanchard Sunday evening.
Deputies and Hillsboro police rescued 45-year-old Bonnie Fisher of Blanchard and three children, ages 4, 2 and 8 months.
The Traill County Sheriff’s Office identified the victims who were found unresponsive in the basement as 53-year-old Ross Matejcek and 27-year-old Ricky Fischer of Blanchard, 24-year-old Margaret Fischer of Portland, ND and 6-year-old Jabin Newmes of Portland.
Fisher and the three children were taken to Sanford in Fargo.
