Man Dies in Motorcycle Crash

A 54-year-old man is dead after riding his motorcycle into a tree.

Kurt Ophus of Minneapolis was riding on private property in Otter Tail County.

He lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree.

Henning Ambulance took Ophus to Tri-County Hospital but he was pronounced dead around 10:30pm on Friday.

More than 25 riders have died in Minnesota this year, compared to 16 at the same time last year.
