Sorry, this video is no longer available

Pilots are flying planes used over 7 decades ago in the sky over Fargo.

A WWII B-17 and B-25 bomber are on a tour across North America for the Sentimental Journey.

The aircrafts are based out of the CAF airbase in Arizona.

The tour is to honor all veterans, past and present.

A squadron commander in WWII jumped at the opportunity to take a trip into the past by flying in the B-25 bomber.

Roy Nolte who few B-25’s during the war said, “It’s been 70 years ago since I’ve been in that thing right there. But I had a training film at home that i went over a couple times before I came out here just in case.”

Russ Gilmore who flies these planes during the tour said he enjoys seeing the veterans take flight again, “Until they get by the airplane and then boom, they’re back 70 years ago when they were 19, 20 years old. Up the ladder and they’re ready to go. So, it’s a lot of fun.”

You can take a ride yourself in one of these bombers until Sunday.

B-17 Ride prices per person: $425 for a waist seat, $850 for a nose seat.
