Area Kids Named Junior Paramedics

Area kids got the chance to be named junior paramedics.
The Fargo Public Library hosted a hands-on First Aid and CPR informational event for K through 6th grade children.
The event is a part of the library’s “Find the Hero in You” summer reading program.
Children learned basic first aid, CPR, and what EMT’s do for the community.
They also had the chance to get a tour inside of an ambulance.
“Going inside they look around, and get to actually see the inside of one in a way that’s not traumatic for them. It’s not laying in that bed looking at the ceiling its actually seeing what’s in there in a way that’s fun,” said Tom Taylor EMT Educator.
Students received a beginner’s first aid kit, and a sticker that certified them as junior paramedic.
