Construction Continues Throughout Detroit Lakes

If you’re traveling to DL this weekend, there are still some construction projects impact your drive.

Work continues on the Highways 10 and 59 projects. It’s not expected to be finished until later this month.

Washington Avenue downtown is finished until Frazee Street but construction remains beyond that intersection.

Police in the area realize that this is a busy travel weekend so they have extra officers on patrol.

“We ask people to slow down. With the construction in the area plan ahead, give yourself enough time to get to where you’re going. And then let people know what time you’re supposed to or what time you plan on being there,” says Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander.

Police also want to remind boaters that extra enforcement will also be on lakes throughout lakes country.
