Less DUIs Than Usual Over Holiday Weekend

According to the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, the Fourth of July is the worst day of the year for fatal car crashes, most of those caused from drunk driving.

But Fargo Police say there were actually less DUI’s than usual in town.

In Fargo, there were only four DUI convictions.

Police attribute that to the fact that a lot of people were out of town.

They noted that downtown Fargo was especially quieter than usual.

Fargo Police did respond to about 60 calls related to fireworks.
