Police Say No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Missing Ardoch Woman
The Grand Forks County Sheriff’s office says the remains of a missing Ardoch woman have been found in Idaho.
82-year-old Florence Dumontet has been missing since 2011 when she left her home to visit relatives in Washington state.
They said hikers in Shoshone County in Idaho found an artificial knee with a serial number that was traced back to Dumontet.
After a search of the area, Idaho law enforcement located her Lincoln pickup down steep terrain and more than a quarter of a mile off of I-90.
The exact cause of death is still under investigation, however, law enforcement says that preliminary examination of her skull rules out foul play.
