It’s prep day for workers at the Red River Valley Fair.
Tomorrow kicks off the week of fun filled events at this year’s fair.
Food vendors are setting up and the newest rides are being put together.
New additions are things like the Zoppe family circus and even a hypnotist show, and you could see it at no charge.
The general manager of the fair association Bryan Schulz said, “Lots of things going on, on the grounds. Opportunities for admission discounts between 11 and 1 Tuesday through Friday you get in the gate for free. “
Traveling across the country for over ten years, this is the life that one worker loves to live.
Candida Oneio said, “It’s fun you get to me different people. It’s part of life.”
Along with rides, you can check out what agriculture means to our community.
A mother and daughter team enjoy showing their livestock.
Mary Kay Lacek said, “Since I was really little we’ve always come and now that I have kids we just come back here and it’s a nice small fair and it’s good for these kids to show three days in a row.”
Her daughter Taylor Lacek said, “It’s kind of just fun and experience.”
To see these animals and the other attractions at the fair, staff have one piece of advice.
“With the traffic on main avenue that’s been kind of an issue…use the interstate and get off on exit 343. Or come down 13th avenue and drive up,” said Schulz.
Whether you’re going to the shows in the big top, or checking out the animals in the barns, you’ll be one of thousands to enjoy the fair this week.
