Are you A Fair Food Connoisseur?

You’ll want to bring your appetite if you head to this year’s Red River Valley Fair in West Fargo.

Around 30 vendors are selling food at this year’s fair.

Sweets and fried food, it means one thing, it’s the fair. Some people can’t help but get themselves a piece of the action.
Reily Altenburg said,”Ever since I was born culturally I have to. Even though I probably wouldn’t eat this stuff on a regular basis.”

A staple for a fair food connoisseur is the one and only cheese curd.

Jordan Novacek said, “Freshly fried and I think that’s what makes them way better.”

“I also know with the cheese curds that if it has squeak against your teeth it’s a good cheese curd,” said Altenburg.

Vendors like Midwestern Concessions have been in the business since 1982 frying anything even s’mores.

Brenda Krog who’s the owner of the concession said, “When you’re at a grocery store you start looking around you’re going, that can be deep fried.”

And for kids they love the sweets, their parents might not.

Reese Rudolph from West Fargo said,”They’re probably like why did I buy all of this!”

They may not be the healthiest treats, so why even eat at the fair?

Allison Thorstad, “Because it tastes so good!”

Something so good, that only comes around once a year.
