4 Men in Court Accused of Violent Crimes in Fargo

An Elbow Lake, Minnesota man accused of beating a homeless man to death in Fargo last November enters his plea in court.

“You recklessly caused Mario Perez’s death by kicking and punching him. as to that charge sir what do you plead?”

“Not guilty. “

44-year-old Clayton Lockwood Jr. is charged with manslaughter in the death of 54-year-old Mario Perez.

Perez’s body was found in an empty apartment on Broadway in downtown Fargo.

He died in the hospital two weeks later.

Lockwood will be back in court in August.

Two men charged with murder for the death of a man outside of Ricks and Specks bars in Fargo appear in court.

The lawyers for Jason Oien and Jessy Olson asked the judge for more time.

Oien, Olson along with Scott Moen and Nicholas Morris are accused of punching and kicking Joey Gaarsland outside the bars in May.

He died after a week in the hospital.

All four men have a criminal history.

They remain jailed with bail set at $1 million dollars each.

A man from Cedar Rapids, Iowa may be headed from state court to federal court for robbing a downtown Fargo hotel and shooting at police.

30 year old Eric Webb is also charged with having a gun as a convicted felon.

He was shot by Fargo police after the robbery in June.

He spent weeks in a hospital before he was transferred to the Cass County Jail.

Webb remains in jail on 500-thousand dollars bond.

The shooting is still under investigation.
