Hosted by the Freedom Resource Center, Both Moorhead and Fargo mayors proclaim the mark of 25 years since the Americans with Disabilities Act was signed.
The act was created to prohibit discrimination for people living with disabilities.
Nate Aalgaard said, “”I think the biggest thing is to open up opportunities to people. to give them a chance, to help them eliminate the barrier that don’t need to be there. So you can get out and be part of life.”
The United States census reports that 19 percent of the U-S population is living with a disability.
